Knitting Xmas

Xmas knit number 1 is going well-I feel like I should be done the back by now, but I know that colorwork goes faster than plain one-color stockinette (for whatever reason), and I should be able to finish up the sweater back tonight. Then it's on to xmas knits 2 and 3, which should hopefully go quickly as well. (Xmas knit number 2 is going to have some fiddly parts, but I think I'll be okay.)

My Xmas Sweater has a full yoke and I've divided for the sleeves, and exactly half of my yarn has been used up, so I'm sitting pretty good there. I wasn't ever too worried about that one (I know I haven't shared it with you yet, and I will remedy that, but it's a cropped, half-sleeved pullover in bulky yarn, of course it wasn't going to be a problem.)

I have my Christmas carol concert on Sunday, and once that's done I have to hit the ground running to plan all the cheer I want to fit in this year. (2016 was rough, We need a lot of cheer this season.) There's movies to watch and cookies to bake and I don't know if three weeks is going to be enough, quite frankly.

  1. Sounds like you got all the Xmas knitting under control! I'm only making 1 hat this year and even that I'm not staying on top of :D I have been getting in the xmas spirit though with movies and baking.

  2. I enjoy reading about your performing arts life. Super cool. This motif is lovely. I love how it pops against the neutral fabric.
