This year, I decided to use the SSKAL to motivate myself to get through the sample for a new pattern- Easy A. The KAL goes through September 10, and while that seems like plenty of time to get this done, we're over halfway through the KAL and I only just finished the back of my sweater last night. Mind you, the back is the biggest piece, so I'm well over 30% finished with this sweater.
The last eight inches or so have been a real slog, so last night my mum and I put on Death in Paradise and I decided I wouldn't get up until I had bound off the back. It took a couple hours, but I did it, and I promptly cast on for the front and knit the first row. I'm still hopeful that I can get this finished by the end of the KAL. Yeah, it took a while to get to this point, but I'm on a high from finishing the back, and if I stay focused on this I should be okay.
