It feels like forever since I've worked on a new design. I have a couple things coming up in the queue, but I haven't have any concept "in gestation" for a few weeks, and I really missed it.
This little guy is so tiny that he barely counts as more than a cast-on. I love this color, and I can't wait for the finished shawl. It's a variation on a submission that got rejected a few months ago, but I've improved on the initial concept and am more than ready to get it out into the world.
I also have this absolutely delicious ball of yarn to play around with. It's pretty secret for now, so you won't be seeing much more of it until it's finished, but I am having so much fun with it for now. I love all the specks of color, and it's got 10% cashmere, so I can't keep my hands off it!
Love that yellow on top and can't wait to see what it becomes! Can I ask who you were submitting to? If you don't want to post here, maybe chat over email?
ReplyDeleteI prefer not to talk too much about rejected submissions. The way this shawl has evolved, it's very different from how I initially conceived it, and I wanted to get it done in time for spring :)
DeleteI love that yellow, really really really love it! So cheerful while the snow is falling :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's really helping right now-we just got more snow flurries here last night!
DeleteThat yellow is so pretty, that'll make a delicious shawl.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's a gem to knit up right now :)
