The Last Stretch of White Lace

The wedding present is almost done. It's so close. I have a four-hour rehearsal tonight, with a nice long break in the middle, so unless something terrible happens, I'll be able to bind this off tonight.

The first top for my mini collection is almost done- it needs to be seamed, and then it just needs a neckband and sleeve bands. I'm not going to try to do too much of the finishing this week, I'd rather cast on for the next top and have some mindless knitting to work on through the weekend. Next week I'll have to hunker down and do the finishing and the pattern bits that I don't love doing- yardage, materials, abbreviations, techniques, etc. I find them fiddly and I'd rather be making stuff. But they're important sections, and I really can't send the pattern to my editor without them.

Play rehearsals are going well so far. I'm definitely feeling more tired than I was a week ago, but I'm juggling my day job, play rehearsals, and working on the mini collection- plus traveling takes up a lot of psychological space for me. After this weekend I'm sure I'll feel much calmer, and I have those days off next week to recharge

  1. That's good you are almost done with the wedding gift and the top! pattern writing must take a lot of time and thought. It sounds like you have a lot on the go right now, it will be nice to have some days to recharge.

  2. Oh Kat- just reading all of your happenings makes me tired. May you get some calm and rest soon.
