Bordering Along

Here we are, Friday once again, and I have finally reached the border of this shawl sample. There's a part of me that would like to get the rest of it banged out this weekend, but I have quite a bit of swatching and grading to do, and that's going to take precedence right now. My goal is to finish the shawl up over the next week so I can get it written up next weekend, and I think I'm well on track to do that.

Like I mentioned earlier this month, January's always weird for me. I think my plan of just rolling with it and not trying to get lots of stuff done has worked, and I'm feeling pretty good about how this month has gone. I have a lot of big projects and goals I'm working on this year, and I think this sort of gentle start was the right way to go about this month.

I have finally started the most recent season of Great British Bake Off, and I'm looking forward to watching more of it this weekend while I catch up on some swatches. I'm also really close to finishing the first sleeve of my marled Old Harry. I'd hoped to finish that sweater this month, but that's looking a bit ambitious right now. It's not a big deal, though—even a February finish will leave me with plenty of winter to wear it!
