After the March

What a weekend! I'm sure it was very full for many of you as well. My Saturday was pretty much taken up with my town's sister march-we had over 500 marchers in my little town, and over 3,000 more in the city an hour north of us. I was exhausted afterward and ended up needing a three hour nap, but it was worth it to see people of all ages and backgrounds come together.

I don't really have words for how it felt to see so many people come together. Nearly every one of my blog and Instagram friends were at some kind of march over the weekend, and I feel so grateful to be a part of such an active and passionate community. It's been humbling and awe-inspiring to see the numbers and the pictures from marches all over the world, and I feel truly grateful to have been a part of it. This is only the beginning, though, and the organizers for my town are already working on the next steps.

  1. Wasn't Jan 21st amazing, though! I'm still so fired up, I am looking forward to pushing on with next steps. I don't live in the US, but here in Canada US politics influences us dramatically- the US is our closest trade partner, and culturally there are many similarities. Many Canadians are afraid that Trump will inspire bigoted people to try Trump-style rhetoric here in Canad,a and we are trying to clamp down on that. Saturday was inspiring!! Now for the hard work of keeping up with it for the next 4 years.....

  2. Although Trump was not my choice for President, I do think this will be the year of women. Everyone is fired up and ready to shine, I'm excited to see what fabulous and inspiring women will emerge! -Sierra
