Hello, my friends! I hope you all had a wonderful, refreshing weekend. I made sure to get some cleaning done on Saturday so I could spend all day Sunday reading and knitting. I've been carrying around my Make Up Your Mind as lunch knitting, so I decided to work on my TPCT this weekend to change things up, and I'm absolutely loving how this yarn is knitting up.
Also, the plain stockinette is perfect for reading and knitting, and once I picked Ahab's Wife back up this weekend, I couldn't put it down! I found this book in a thrift store several months ago, read the first 10 chapters, and then stuck it in my current reading pile and buried it under other things. But the writing is so engaging, and Una is such a great character-I have just over 100 pages to go, and I'm definitely going to be sad to see it end.

there is nothing in the world like knitting and reading at the same time :) I feel like I'm super expedient when I do both. Love your knitting :)
ReplyDeleteI always admire those who can knit and read at the same time! Never worked for me :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, you're at least the third or fourth person I've read/heard mention "Ahab's Wife" lately. Sounds like something I should suggest my book club read with me! (Not while knitting, though, you nimble-fingered thing!)
ReplyDeleteHooray for knitting and reading at the same time! I always feel like a bit of rockstar when I do that, it's like the ultimate in productivity. And bonus hooray for finding a good book that you can't put down!
