You've picked beautiful fabrics, I look forward to seeing them all sewn up!Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14988014571137161352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564569243607230163.post-43189187015979011362016-05-03T14:06:31.885-05:002016-05-03T14:06:31.885-05:00Love your fabric choices! I'd really like to do this someday - the problem is that my sewing skills have slipped somewhat and I'm at the point where I know I'd need to put in a lot of effort to get them back up to scratch and...well, I'm not sure how bothered I am about doing that! But I would like more me-made items in my life so maybe I'll have a go :)Elisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06873895703631876934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564569243607230163.post-64393908975376159792016-05-03T08:13:11.697-05:002016-05-03T08:13:11.697-05:00Found myself nodding along with this post and the ...Found myself nodding along with this post and the comments! Me Made May is a 'one day' type thing for me - have yet to finish any garments and I'm not a sewist as yet! Looking forward to seeing what you make with your lovely fabrics, though! :)Beccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04235597034582983202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564569243607230163.post-31595221398424701592016-05-03T07:10:26.527-05:002016-05-03T07:10:26.527-05:00you picked some pretty fabrics!! I wish I was into sewing but sadly I've dabbled many times and prefer to knit. maybe I'll dabble once more.karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09252685705241032079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564569243607230163.post-38273275131583615622016-05-02T16:10:49.918-05:002016-05-02T16:10:49.918-05:00I'm in the same boat as the two of you, Caitly...I'm in the same boat as the two of you, Caitlyn & Kat. I THOUGHT this year would be the year, but alas. It's not just the ability, it's also the season. We've had a very cold spring so far (snows last week), but starting this week the sun is out, and spring is catching up with a vengeance (25+ degrees Celsius). If it had been Me-Made-December I would have been able to get it done with all the knitted sweaters, but May? Hopefully next year both of our sewn wardrobe have caught up with our knitted wardrobe!

The fabrics you've bought are really cute! Which one are you going to use for the cardigan? Curious about the fantastic projects on your needles now :)
Nissehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14081271985134833699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564569243607230163.post-78108254499378023512016-05-02T15:28:23.502-05:002016-05-02T15:28:23.502-05:00wishing my 'abstract' skills matched my ac...wishing my 'abstract' skills matched my actual ones, too!!! :)stephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11462819419868208831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564569243607230163.post-17203040476243431602016-05-02T11:07:11.746-05:002016-05-02T11:07:11.746-05:00Haha I leapt right into MMMay without really think...Haha I leapt right into MMMay without really thinking about whether it was practical! I sort of blame you actually, since it was your post a while back that got the idea in my head. :D That's okay though - I'm using this as an opportunity to reassess my closet and what I really wear vs. what I want to wear vs. the crap that's actually in my closet. We'll see how long I last actually wearing me-makes this month!

Your fabric finds are wonderful! I adore every piece you found there. Don't worry about your skills - they'll get there with practice. Tackle projects at and slightly higher than your skill level, and build from there as you gain confidence. And don't listen to anyone when they say that something's too hard! Just do it, and you'll figure it out. :)

Can't wait to see what you make!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10477887672613694373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564569243607230163.post-24559501991116707672016-05-02T09:02:18.245-05:002016-05-02T09:02:18.245-05:00I'm in exactly the same place with Me-Made-May...I'm in exactly the same place with Me-Made-May, so it's really reassuring to see that I'm not alone. I look forward to seeing what you sew up and how it pairs with your handknit wardrobe. For what it's worth, this stranger on the internet is cheering for you. :-)Caitlynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05252532446979150096noreply@blogger.com
